Friday Freedom !

This morning I rode my Motorbike into work. No real reason other than I wanted to. It took me the same amount of time to ride than if I walk if I factor in getting my stuff on and warming the bike up. But....... even though it's only a 5 minute ride I felt good rolling up to the office. A slightly greater sense of freedom has infected my day. I think, for the summer at least, riding into work will be the norm.

My Dad passed his theory test yesterday with no practice. The funny thing is that although he is a professional driver and has been driving for 45 years he got 3 questions wrong from the road sign section!

Ouch ! My Kidneys hurt.

I have that Friday feeling bad. I'm sat at work staring out of the window, the sun is shining, I'm going away for the weekend and it's supposed to be a scorching one !

So 20th Century

I've just found out that despite being told that my finance company who owed me some money would be paying me by bacs, I have just been informed that it is infact being paid to me by cheque. I like to think of myself as someone who embraces modern living and the tought of having no option but to take an hour out of my day to go to my bank (their choice of hour not mine) and pay in the cheque only to wait a further 3 days before I can actually spend it, infuriates me ! The has happened to me twice in as many weeks and I am starting to get annoyed.

I'm off to mince for the rest of the afternoon before a sunny stroll home in about 1.5 hrs.

Razz-Wheat is bad

Midweek drinking should be made illegal. If pubs could only serve alcohol on a Fri/Sat/Sun night then those who do not have the willpower to stick to the "2 or 3 pints" they intended to have would be saved from a day at work that resembles a scene from a bleach/detergent commercial. I feel like one of the cartoon depictions of dirt, grime and germs I see on TV adverts. My team around me mocking are the Advert equivilent of the Cillit Bang.

I should sleep more, drink less and get another coffee.

Office based rant !!!

Why do people ask stupid questions that they do not expect you to know the answer to? Is it to prove that you do not have superior knowledge? To make you look silly? It happens more often in the workplace than anywhere else so maybe it's a power thing. I don't do this. If the only way to prove your position is to belittle someone else then you cannot be very secure in your own abilities. Maybe people within my office should take note as this week has been full of conversations involving those dumbass questions.

Healthy Regime crashes and burns

Pies yesterday, half a bar of Toblerone last night and a fry-up for my lunch today. My healthy eating has failed before it has even begun.

Maybe I'll be more successful next week?

I'm in the Black !!!

Briefly, I am not in my overdraft! It feels good. A warm fuzzy feeling inside. I'm assuming this is what rich people feel like all the time. :-)

This feeling will only last until Saturday when I pay for my bike and I'll be skint again.

Youth is wasting on the young

My body's starting to cash the cheques my youth wrote in advance. No reason at all, my back is aching today. Arrrghh !

I'm beginning a healthier lifestyle this week. (after the chips and cakes are finished today). The pies, cakes, pasties, chips, fired chicken, chinese takeaways, pizzas, burgers and super sugared starbucks have to stop. I only have one body and although I don't need it in imamculate condition I would like another few years of health and movement. Let's see how long this lasts.

Lightweight biker.

I weigh approx 64Kg. My new bike, fully fuelled, weighs nearly 250Kg.

I think this is a good reason to get my ass back down the gym and sort myself out. Maybe just wheeling the bike around will become my daily workout ?

All bills and no money make Weasel an unhappy rodent

After being continually re-assured that my insurance payment for my bike would be sent directly to me and I would need to clear any outstanding finance I have just been informed this is not correct. They will clear my 0% debt leaving me in a situation where I have 7 working days to get £4200 from a loan into my account to be able to collect my bike from the dealer.

Let's hope the loan company is more efficient than the insurance co.

Arrghhh!!!

I have also just paid over £200 more for the insurance on my new bike than my old one, mainly due to the accident and points on my licence. This blows.

I've sold my lovely USA Jazz bass to help fund the accident, a tear fell from my cheek as a complete muppet came to give me the folding after an Ebay sale. A few more items need to be sold to help with the costs of getting the new bike so if anyone fancies a Laney B1 amp and 2 cabs let me know.

Here's Weasel !

Lessons learnt over the last 6 weeks:

1) Riding through a UK winter is cold.
2) I do not have the will power to save money
3) Walking to work everyday does not make me feel any healthier
4) Job security is a much underrated weasel need
5) sliding on your ass during a bike accident is a strangely reflected time
6) Insurance companies aren't as scary as I thought they were.
7) Writing off my first bike has left an emotional hole that only another bike can fill
8) I am an impulsive shopper (Honda VFR due for collection in 2 weeks)
9) The mighty Saints will have to show more passion to reach and win the Championship playoffs
10) I love Long Island Iced Tea !
